It's been awhile

Since the last time i blogged in november, a lot of things have happened..after such a long spell of not updating this blog, you'd probably think there's no thoughts whatsoever in that little brain of mine and i'm perpetually happy..
Well, in that time, I've travelled to Tasmania which was a really awesome trip.. kudos to Jeannie and Carmen for organising such a great trip.. For the people who went on the trip, we all now know that doing laundry doesn't actually really mean that you're washing your clothes, and Jeannie came back the happiest of the lot ;)

And, I've finally GRADUATED and am officially unemployed, applied for PR and moved outta the place I call my home for the past 2 years, celebrated Christmas(went on a shopping spree on Boxing Day) and New Year's in Melbourne

Then holidays back in Malaysia was great.. had a trip to Cambodia for Ken's wedding which I have to say was the best damn holiday I've ever gone on.. congrats to you Ken on your marriage.. more on that later I promise

Also drove up to Penang for a few days and I have to say.. the only thing we did in Penang was eat all day long.. and when we're done.. it's lazing in the hotel pool that was right next to the empty beaches at Batu Ferringhi..

Then came Chinese New Year.. which has been a long time since i've celebrated CNY in Malaysia with my family considering I've been going back to Melb for summer semesters.. and also not forgetting the joys of gambling.. haha joy in that I've won a lot of money during that period.. why can't it be CNY all year round :P

Tomorrow begins the new semester for Melbourne Uni students.. and I'm not one of them anymore.. though i've always said I dislike all the assignments and exams in uni,there's no denying that the 4 years of my life as a uni student will probably go down as the best days of my life.. All the friends I've made, the lessons i've learned, the experiences I've gained, and also the good times that I've had..

I'm not making anymore promises that I'll update on a regular basis.. but I'll try..

Happy as can be

Anyways.. Will be off to tassie for a week in less than 5 hours.. It'll be fun.. only thing is that I'm missing out on the things back in melbourne.. OOOhhh.. and BEERFEST!!! haha can't wait for that.. Will definitely be the highlight of the trip :P

Stop this train

Go shorty, It's MY birthday, we gonna party like it's my birthday!!! Thanks to my lovely sister who is always there to plan something to surprise me on my birthday (thanks sister!!).. I feel really bad that I didn't do the same for your birthday.. also thanks to everyone else who helped to plan/set up/ cook/ decorate/ lure me to KFC to eat dinner to get me out of my house.. haha you guys are damn funny for bringing me to KFC to eat and then Hung asking me to go downstairs with him to "get something from the car", then bumping into Lucien at the car park and Hung asking Lucien if he wanted to see his place.. Finally when we walked past the Uropa function room Hung was like ,"Hey Kai Yau, go get the chairs to play poker later".. And then me finally realising that it was a surprise party for me :P

My phone was on silent earlier on when people tried to call me to get out of my apartment but I was doing "something else" at the time.. But anyways thank you all for making my day and putting a smile on my face :)

I feel that this time around, I'm not as excited about my birthday as before.. Guess I just don't wanna grow old, don't wanna start working and making more decisions not only for myself but for others, don't wanna start facing the reality of being independent.. I can still remember back when I was young.. all I wanted to do was stay home and play all day long without a care in the world. But i know that's not gonna happen

I Can't Be F'ed (CBF)

I'd tell you about everything that happened since my last post but I CBF..

I'd write about how much fun I'd had at Mornington (plus the gatherings and poker nights too) in the mid semester holidays but I CBF and it's been so long since..

I'd rant on and on about the amount of assignments I have, the copious amounts of RedBull I've consumed, the sleepless nights rushing through it to meet the deadline but I CBF (yes this is gonna be repeated a lot in this post)...

I'd have a post just to wish every single one of you happy birthday , write about and how you've made a difference in my life but I CBF (plus you know i love you all anyways)

I'd put up pictures taken of the countless times I've went clubbing or just going to bars but I CBF.. it's on Facebook anyways

I'd say to the whole world that I've finished my university education (well.. almost..) and am about to enter the world of adulthood and unemployment (for now at least) but I CBF

I'd write of my regrets of not studying hard enough to get better grades in uni, of not taking the time to fully understand my studies instead of procrastinating and doing last minute cramming.. But I CBF

Lastly, I'd write about what a wonderful year it has been, and that I've regretted not participating in clubs and society earlier in my uni education and only in my final year in Uni, all the awesome friends I've made, the joy and laughter we shared and most importantly, the experiences I've gained.. but I CBF

All in all, I think I've just about covered everything that I can't be F'ed saying on the top..



OK now here's what I can be bothered to do.. and this was actually meant to be for my younger sister whose birthday was last Monday.. but I didn't have the time to actually finish it and also after countless tries :P.. hope it'll cheer you up..




And also good luck to those people sitting for exams over the coming weeks.. will be seeing a lot of you in the library and at Starbucks over the next few weeks.. Oh and here's video (not me) that i found.. super hilarious

Update + Poker + Angry Rant + Footy = MY HOLIDAY SO FAR :)

The past week of holidays have been alright, excluding the weekend where i had to rush my advanced computational mechanics assignment and not sleeping for more than 24 hours (about 33 to be exact).. some ppl reading this would probably be thinking "So what else is new?? You always do it the night before anyways" and I have to agree, I always leave things till the end..

Anyways, other than that, everyday since I've been playing poker (every night I kid you not), and to be honest, I've been very VERY lucky, even getting like straight flushes and four of a kinds in a night.. the winnings for those rounds I won paid for my meals over the next few days :P


Well, if I was lucky at poker, I'm guessing my luck quota was used up, as I got injured on Wednesday playing futsal.. just thinking about it makes me pissed already.. I don't usually bear so much hatred towards a person but this asshole (forgive my language for a moment here) which I don't even know and hope I don't have to cause if I see him again i'll probably wanna punch him in the face(or in the nuts to give him a taste of his own medicine) here's the thing.. I injured my ankle because this fucker decided to slide in with both feet to tackle me while i was kicking the ball away.. Thanks to him, I won't be able to play any soccer or do any sports for the next few weeks or months.. even walking is a chore..

That aside, I went to watch the preliminary final (which would mean the semi-final) footy match between Geelong and Collingwood today at the MCG.. and the previous week was the Australia and Argentina match.. To be honest, I enjoyed the footy match much more than I enjoyed the soccer friendly.. mainly due to the intensity of the game played and the crowd of 93,000 who were cheering their teams on like it was a matter of life and death (in fact worse than that).. I was cheering for my team (Collingwood) too.. It was end to end stuff with tackles flying and goals abound..and it went right down to the wire. It was just unfortunate that they lost it by 5 points.. but Geelong deserved to win and I do hope they win the AFL grand finals next week..

Things to do over the next week of holidays include my final year project report and strategic marketing plan assignment.. and the trip to Mornington..

Update

It's been almost a month since i last updated my blog.. starting to get real lazy.. everytime i wanna do it I just end up blog hopping to other ppl's blogs for inspiration and just "forget" to update mine..
To sum up the past month, I've been busy.. went for paintball, the much coveted Commerce ball which in my opinion is just another excuse to dress up and get drunk and have a good time.. and finally the Merdeka celebrations that I was helping to organise with MOMU, which went really well in my opinion.. considering a week before we were scared to shit that we haven't managed to sell much tickets.. well all i can say that it was a great success.. don't have any photos to show so just go to Isaac's blog to check out the photos he posted..

AND finally.. for those who hasn't watched the video of the best dance we had for the night :p, here it is.. and I can't believe that the 7 of us actually did that dance, was the funniest thing ever.. I can't imagine what my mom would say when she comes around to seeing this when my younger sister shows it to her.. but anyways here it is




Well, there was a lot that happened over the past month for me to remember everything, and in a blink of an eye, it's already week 7 of uni.. another half a semester to go before I finally graduate and become unemployed.. ARGH!! can't even cope with uni work, I can barely imagine what working life would be.. somehow I've been relatively so much slacker in my final semester than I've ever been.. have to do something about it.. now to work on my assignment.. till the next time I feel like blogging.
